I had similar. Lost 3 days of game through trying a mod. Hopefully I'll get them back with 1.3 but who knows.

To soften the blow I replaced the ships I had and gave myself a Condor as a base.

Hi guys,

I’m new to your X3 world, and I'm impressed so far.

I have activated the script editor, and tried to use the money script (Via the General Tab in the Command Console), but alas to no avail.

Could someone tell me ( An idiots guide ), on how to use the money script. When I do use it, it only goes up at 10 credits at a time.

I’m not interested in modding anything else.......well not yet at least.

TVM in advance guys

Oh, and yes i have tried looking through the forums for some self help, so if it is there pls point me in the right direction, and i wont bother you again.

I can't seem to get this working.

If I press r on setup.lv.cheats from the script it seems to display some text that I click ok to.

But then, that's it.. I get no menu for the cheats etc.

Am I missing something here?

EDIT: Ok, got it working.. needed to save the game and then load the savegame.

Thanks for the script, I used it to browse through some of the ships in the game. Just got alittle curious, but anynow.

Since I created a huge amount of ships I used the "Destroy" command quite a few times. Sometimes when using it pieces of the HUD disapears and and the keyboard gets basicly totally disabled, only thing you are able to use when this happens is the mouse and autopilot on/off (the "u" button i belive).

So be careful when using the command, sometimes you will be forced to press "reset" on your computer and reboot since alt-tab or ctrl-alt-delete won't work.

First you have to enable the Script Editor. Do this by renaming your Pilot to 'Thereshallbewings'

Then from the console hit S and you will get various Script Editor options.

For me running reinit scripts did it.

Okay, I think this should be stickied.

Now, if I extract it, load the game, and enter thereshallbewings, will it show up right after?

Ok, this is very humbling. I cant figure this out.

Here is what I am doing, PLEASE correct me.

1. Downloaded the file to my main x3 file, NOT the scripts file, the one outside that.
2. Booted up the game, entered Thereshallbewings and got the script editor
3. Pressed the re-int function ONCE and then went back to the HUD
4. Entered my ships command console, nothing.

Right I have just installed a shop copy of X3 to a dif directory.

Install instructions

1. Unpack to your main X3 directory
2. Start Game
3. Open the SE (Thereshallbewings)
4. Press re-init script caches once

Commands will now be in the menu unless you have done something wrong.

Is the 'General' menu supposed to be in with all the ship commands like...Navigation, Combat and Special?

Okay, this one's fun.

I like having another alt start, started a new game, and scripted in a caiman hauler, and [kill]ed the starting ships, so instead of starting with a bad trader and a decent fighter, i get only a very good trader to start.

But then I also started to have fun doubling the argon fleet, scripted in a dozen of khakk destroyers that belonged to the argon, and scripted in an enemy fleet in argon prime and started watching the big fight.

14 argon capships(agon one, the titan and 12 KM2and rays VS 12 phoenixes that belonged to [enemy race].

Killed my computer but was fun as hell to watch!
